Who can be admitted?

·        Need for assistance with activities of daily living and are mobile

Who is inappropriate?

·        Immobile non-ambulatory unless the condition is temporary and the necessary services are provided

·        Pose a danger

What training is required for direct care staff?

·        Adult abuse and neglect

·        Alzheimer’s disease and other types of dementia

·        Emergency procedures

·        Assistance with self-administration of medication
